Mt. Baker Ski Area is a popular destination with great facilities. The ski area has two base lodges with modern amenities and plenty of space to relax and enjoy après ski. There are excellent food options ranging from casual grab-and-go sandwiches to full-service restaurants featuring locally sourced ingredients. For those new to skiing, lessons are available for all ages and skill levels. The experienced instructors can help you learn the basics or improve your technique. Overall, Mt. Baker Ski Area is a wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors.

Glacier Public Service Center

The Glacier Public Service Center serves visitors headed into the northern reaches of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Civilian Conservation Corps built the center in 1938, which is representative of the Cascadian style of architecture. It is listed on the federal register of historic places. Current operations include 24-hour self-service outdoor information, restrooms, picnic tables and staffed visitor services on a seasonal schedule. Visitors can buy books, maps and other sales items including federal recreation passes.

Douglas Fir Campground

Located on the Mt. Baker Hwy. near milepost 36

This campground is situated in the forest along the North Fork Nooksack River. Tall Douglas Fir, western red cedar, and western hemlock trees provide abundant shade. Guided river rafting and white water kayaking opportunities are available on the river. A day use picnic shelter provides a space for groups to gather and recreate.

Silver Fir Campground

Located on the Mt. Baker Hwy. near milepost 46

This campground is situated in the forest along the North Fork Nooksack River. Most of the sites are removed from the highway with a short walk to the river. Many Silver fir, western red cedar, and western hemlock trees provide shade, but a very sunny gravel bar is between the campground and the river. A historic day use picnic shelter can also be reserved.
